"SunshineDays" is a theme that expresses such a state of time and mind.
This collection embodies the values of Ritsuko Tanaka, who, as the director of the NPO Aqua Planet, is involved in marine environment conservation and also cultivates bananas in Okinawa, emphasizing "the health and well-being that comes from living in harmony with nature."
Bananas grow because of the sun's bounty, and the sea maintains its beauty because the natural environment is protected.
"SunshineDays" symbolizes the comfort of living within such a natural cycle.
This sentiment is conveyed through a happy visual of bananas imagined as surfboards, riding the waves.
It expresses a lifestyle of enjoying nature and living with it, through playful designs.
By using "BANANA CLOTH," an upcycled material made from discarded banana stems, we connect nature's blessings to new value without waste.
